Support Headrest.... Join us for our 2008 Labor Day Rail Trail Ramble
WHO: You, your family, friends, school teams, and people of any age or athletic ability!
WHAT: This is a relaxed, at-your-own-pace walk or bike ride down the scenic Rail Trail. The course begins at the CCBA trail head in Lebanon, crosses eight trestle bridges, and passes beautiful Lake Mascoma on its way to downtown Enfield before returning the same way. Enjoying a shorter round trip is just as fun, beautiful, and welcome! The trail is flat and ideal for walking or perfect for a tricycle, a hybrid or mountain bike.
Pie will be offered to the first 50 people who arrive in Enfield and are following the entire course. There's also a New England barbecue and live music by Dr. Burma from 4:30 to 6:00 pm in Colburn Park on the Lebanon Green for all participants.
Proceeds benefit Headrest - a non-profit organization that began at Dartmouth College in 1971 and is now located in Lebanon, NH. The organization is a leader and an innovator in the provision of addiction and crisis services. Our mission is to help those with limited income and ensure that no one is turned away from the services they need. Headrest has maintained a 24-hour crisis hotline for NH and VT nonstop for 38 years and provides both inpatient and outpatient services to help clients who are overcoming addiction.
